Children's show from my youth?

ive asked this question before, but no response worth noting. its is a kids show with these teenagers who are battle an evil force etc. but they like turn into cars by going into the trunk of the car and then they are in this virtual reality realm and its 3d rendered. it was around 96 or 97. its not power rangers or beetleborgs or vr troopers or super human samurai. please help
