New video card in but now no sound...?

So i have an Hp pavilion a1213w computer. I just put in a new AGP card a VisionTek - ATI RADEON HD2400 Pro 512MB DDR2 AGP Graphics Card. I also added 1 gb of ram to the 512 i have. Everything runs great. Just...no sound. Apparently my device manager is saying i have sound but my computer is saying i don't. This video card needed to be hooked up to my power supply as well. I'm not sure if that affects anything at all or not. I never had any problems with my other Radeon 9250 video card so i'm not sure as to what reasons this would cause a problem.. If anyone has any informationt that'd be awesome. I also do not know how to check my BIOs at all....
