C.H.P or State Troopers witch is higher rank?

They are two branches of the same thing. Neither is higher. CHP is in charge of the highways.. traffic stops, reckless driving, speeding, etc. State Troopers are specifically for the areas not otherwise covered by an established police force, usually rural areas between incorporated towns and cities. They will both overlap with each other. State Troopers are not limited to their outlying areas and will often be called in to ist city or town cops. CHP will continue a chase or something even after it leaves a highway until a local agency can take over, and if they are the closest responder to a certain area they will respond when needed. Ranks within each agency run like the military within their own ranks, otherwise it comes down to who ultimately has jurisdiction.
