I did something totally embarring!?

Well, today I was at a party and the host(my friend) knew I had a fear of crocodiles so she asked her parents if she could get a crocodile and someone from the zoo to come and do some stuff at her party. Her family is like filthy rich, so they said yes and apparently she asked the zoo specialist to choose me as a volunteer to feed the crocodile. I got scared and I actually started crying because I have a big fear of them. I ended up leaving the party and a I feel embarred right now. She saw me at church today and said, "Why'd you leave? You should've seen the expression on your face! You were hillarious!" and I said, "You knew I had a fear of crocdiles," and she said, "Uh yeah, that's why I asked for it to be at my party. It was a joke, no need to get all crybaby on us," and I felt so hurt. Was I overreactive or was she being plain mean. I want to still be her friend but someplace in my heart tells me she was being mean.
