Can I get a refund from this app?

I'm in a jam here. An app I bought called iManga was removed from the app store a little while ago. I had to reset my iPod weeks ago and forgot to put it back on. Now, I've come to find out it's been removed because it took manga from other sites illegally. Now, I understand it's against the law. But I paid like 7 bucks for that! And I only used it twice. I bought it like a month and a half ago. How was I supposed to know it was illegal? I wanna know what I should do. I want a refund but I don't know what number to call. And writing a letter is out of the question. I'm more of a straightforward person.
