I have a lame horse one min hes walkin fine, the next day he is limping on his front left leg and the next day?

he is fine some days its hot some days its not i treated for absess for two days and nothin has changed i took him to the vet and he had no idea! if i push on the back of his hoove he is unconfortable anyone have any idea what it could be???
