Trucking Or Railroad Career?

Hands down the railroad.OTR trucking is a tough life.I know a few of them and they are never home it seems like.If you want to make good money doing that you have to live in a truck.Railroading pays better and is an easier job.If you go railroading be aware that most Cl 1's require you to accept promotion to engineer.And here on the UP if you fail promotion your railroad job is over.Fail and you hit the street,no going back to trainmen's seniority.Besides you have to steer a truck!
